It’s been a while, but we have at last had a full programme for the first time in weeks in the Upton Still North Leicestershire Football league.
In the Coalville Trophies Premiership Asfordby Development beat Shepshed Amateurs 1-0 with Simon Atherley hitting the only goal of the game. Belton Villa lost 2-1 away at Kegworth Imperial, Liam Bennett and Connor Reynolds for the Imps, Ollie Meadows for the Villa. FC Coalville beat Woodhouse Imperial 3-1, Billy Read, Jamie Kendrick and Ashley Henshall for Coalville, Kieran Newbold for Woodhouse. Goals from Ollie Freckingham, Liam Kinch, Chris Yates and Piers Wheeler gave Mountsorrel Amateurs a 4-0 win away at Measham Welfare.

Second placed Bottesford FC Reserves beat Sutton Bonington Reserves 2-0, Ben Cullen and Adam Daybell with the Bottesford goals. Shepshed Amateurs Reserves beat Mountsorrel FC 3-1, Duane Earp (2) and Joe Shaw for Shepshed, Danny Clark for Mountsorrel. Loughborough United Reserves won 4-2 away at Sporting Markfield Reserves, Allan Blackey, Connor Martin, Dave Newton and Sean Waters for Loughborough, John Manning and Dom Phillips for Markfield. Thorpe Acre won 2-1 at home to Thringstone MW Reserves, Gary Warren hitting both the Thorpe goals, Luca Clarke for Thringstone. Woodhouse Imperial Reserves won 4-0 at home to Greenhill YC ‘A’, Josh Adkin with a hat trick and Cameron Allan adding the fourth for Woodhouse.
All our sides bowed out of the Saturday County Cup Intermediate Trophy quarter finals, Falcons losing 7-6 away at Fleckney Athletic, Ryan Page (2), Danny Pownall, Nathan Tacey, Benn Haywood and Joe Moxom with the Falcons goals. Thringstone MW lost 2-0 at home to Earl Shilton Albion and East Leake Robins lost 3-1 away at Northfield Emerald, Craig Tebbs with the Robins goal.
